Phoenix Contractors recently completed a 17,000-square-foot expansion of Saline District Library, nearly doubling its size. The library’s Grand Re-opening in May 2008 put the spotlight on the facility’s many new features and resources. These include quiet study rooms, a teen area, a drive-up drop box, additional areas for meetings, presentations, and exhibits, and more of practically everything – more books, more magazines, more computers, and more electronic media, to name just a few.

There is also now a dedicated room for the Friends of the Saline District Library to sell used books and other second-hand items at low prices nearly every day of the week.

Yet, with all of these upgrades, the library maintains its idyllic wooded setting on Maple Road. In fact, if anything, the expanded building now seems to blend even more naturally with its surroundings.
